Ray Wonder is one of the oddest bands SPOT has to offer. Totally freaky and happy harmonies, sounding like something out of psychedelic cartoon. Everything is played down just a little bit and filled with humour. The recurrent feature is Ludvig Böss' palm garden-piano and odd musical leaps which constantly remind you of something you've heard before; only to realize a second later that you never have. It's difficult to hear where Ray Wonder's inspiration comes from. On the other hand, the music is accessible and catchy.
Ray Wonder's experiments are innovative, but he also has time for more thoughtfull songs. The four Swedes control a brilliant orchestration, and since 1994 they have made 6 albums and toured with, among others, The Cardigans.
