The roots are deeply set in Nordic mythology and music from the Middelages, but folk-rock is what sets the beat for Fenja Menja's compositions. Fenja Menja sing in Danish and use traditional instruments such as bagpipes and wooden sticks.
Fenja and Menja are two giant-women from Nordic mythology. They were the only ones who could pull King Frode's giant magic grinding-mill, which could produce whatever Frode wanted. But the king got greedy and forced Menja and Fenja to grind round the clock. Menja and Fenja then turned the powers of the grinding-mill against King Frode, and and a veritable Ragnarock began...
